[22p-E102-1] [INVITED] Versatile functioning created by topological control of oxygen vacancy distribution in artificial memristive synapses

We have created four-terminal artificial memristive synapses consisting of a reduced metal oxide thin film and report the results of implementing heterosynaptic plasticity and neuromodulation functions, such as spike timing dependent plasticity (STDP) modulation, synaptic plasticity mimicking habituation and sensitization, and Pavlovian conditioning. The versatility of the four-terminal system will be discussed, which allows the implementation of artificial synapses with diverse and complex functions in a single memristive device.
