Keywords:glass, inorganic materials

Inorganic oxide glass materials are easy to make and form shapes. With their excellent transparency, they are widely used as constructing materials for huge buildings, protective films for various things such as mobile phones, telecommunication pathway as optical fibers. These properties are benefit of the homogeneousness of the glass, which are originated to the random structure of the atoms. However, when viewed in detail, the atomic structure is not completely random. There can be local or middle to long range orders. By controlling the magnitude of orders in such disordered materials, their physical properties can be modified. In the talk, I will introduce my works related to controlling orders in oxide glasses.
