In recent years, Poly(heptazine imide), commonly known as PHI, has been attracting attention as a material that can be used not only for photocatalytic energy conversion but also for energy storage. In addition, PHI has a structure in which potassium ions are encapsulated. There is a possibility that the photocatalytic function of PHI can be improved by exchanging the potassium ions in the PHI structure with other metal ions. In this talk, PHI with potassium ions exchanged for lithium ions will be synthesized and the products will be discussed in detail from the viewpoint of crystal and chemical structures.
