Poly (heptazine imide) (PHI), which contains potassium ions in its structure, is a two-dimensional carbon nitride compound that can be synthesized easily and inexpensively.
The diffusion of potassium ions on the PHI surface upon light irradiation has been suggested, and PHI is expected to be applied as an electrode for rechargeable batteries utilizing this diffusion phenomenon.
In this study, the diffusion behavior of potassium ions and the change in electronic state on the PHI surface are discussed in detail based on the results of SEM/EDX and photoelectron spectroscopy measurements, respectively, and discussed for application to rechargeable batteries.
