Single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) were coated on an ultra-thin film (nanosheet) of poly(styrene-b-butadiene-b-styrene) (SBS) to prepare SWCNT-SBS nanosheets. The SWCNT-SBS nanosheet prepared under the optimized condition showed a Young’s modulus (i.e., 80.9 MPa) comparable to that of the SBS film and conductivity. Stacking the SWCNT-SBS nanosheets and dielectric elastomer sheets alternatively, we fabricated dielectric elastomer actuators on substrates with different Young’s modulus.
