The magnetic properties of magnetic nanoparticles(MNP), which are superparamagnetic and unique to MNP, have been used in the development of magnetic immunoassays for the specific detection of proteins by antigen-antibody reactions. However, the magnetic properties of MNP have been shown to be affected by biological substances. In this study, we measured the time variation of the third harmonic of MNP in sheep blood using the developed HTS-SQUID magnetic immunoassay system. The results showed that the magnetic signal decreased with time in the blood.
