In order to obtain Fe(Se,Te) thin films with good superconducting properties, it is important to control strain in the films. However, it is well-known that the lattice constants of the films are irrelevant to the in-plane lattice parameters of the substrates, and the mechanism of the lattice strain in Fe(Se,Te) films is far from complete understanding. In addition, there are different results concerning films on the same substrate materials reported by different research groups. In this study, we prepared various substrates with step-terrace structure and investigated the structural and superconducting properties of the films on them. We will discuss the difference of the structural and superconducting properties of the films depending on the pretreatments of the substrates.
