[23p-E204-13] Direct synthesis of λ-phase Ti3O5 films on LaAlO3 (110) substrates

Metastable λ-phase Ti3O5 shows various phase transitions induced by external stimuli such as temperature, light, and pressure. Especially, the reversible photo-induced phase transition can be applied for optical recording media. Owing to metastable nature of λ-phase Ti3O5, only a nano-sized polycrystal sample has been synthesized. In this study, we report successful synthesis of high crystallinity of λ-phase Ti3O5 films directly grown on LaAlO3 (110) substrates.
