[24p-E102-17] Utilize of Marimo Nano carbon as an Anode Material for Calcium Ion Secondary Batteries
Keywords:Battery
In this study, Marimo nanocarbon (MNC), an aggregate of nanocarbon fibers, was used as an anode material for post lithium ion batteries. The MNCs have more edge surfaces, which are the entry points for ions, and more oxygen-containing functional groups on their surfaces than the graphite materials used in the past. Three types of MNCs were synthesized by changing the raw material gas and their charge/discharge capacities were investigated. The MNCs showed higher charge/discharge capacities than those of spheroidized natural graphite, a comparative material.
