Toshiba is developing a CO₂ recycling technology using electrochemical conversion akin to artificial photosynthesis to promote a carbon neutral society.By increasing the size of the electrodes, stacking them and operating them at a high current density, we developed a CO₂ electrolyzer capable of processing a large amount of CO₂ at the level of 1 ton per year.In this talk, we will report on our efforts so far in the promotion of the technological development of CO₂ reduction.
