△ [25p-E304-3] Photoemission Tomography of a One-Dimensionally Oriented Picene Multilayer on Ag(110)

We applied photoemission tomography (PT), which is the state-of-art technique to analyze wavefunction of molecular orbitals, to a one-dimensionally oriented picene multilayer realized on an anisotropic Ag(110) surface. Frontier orbitals of picene were successfully deconvoluted, which had not been achieved by the conventional methods. It was demonstrated that PT can be applied to more practical molecules/systems by using Ag(110), enabling the evaluation of the electronic structure and the molecular orientation in the film.
