[25p-P10-4] Structural Changes of Au/Ag Alloy Nanoparticles induced by Vacuum Ultraviolet Light Irradiation
Keywords:alloy nanoparticles, nanorings, composit nanoparticles
Nanoparticles have been applied to catalysis and biosensing and recently the improvement of their performance by alloying has been reported. Last spring, we reported the formation of nanorings by vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) light irradiation on silver nanoparticles (Colloids. Surf. A, 627 (2021) 127221). In this study, we prepared Au/Ag alloy nanoparticles via bottom-up process and examined the structural changes by VUV light irradiation. As a result, nano structures with protrusions (~20 nm dia.) on the surface of nanoparticles (~100 nm dia.) were observed. From the results of SEM, TEM, and EDS, we consider that the lattice strain between silver oxide and gold was related to this structural change.
