In the unzip (UZ) method in which graphene nanoribbon (GNR) is obtained by cutting open carbon nanotubes (CNT) in the long axis direction, a radical initiator acts on defects on the CNTs, and C-C bonds are sequentially cleaved in the long axis direction to open the CNTs. I found that It was also considered that the partial structure of the radical molecule was coordinated at the time of cleavage. The purpose of this study is to investigate the changes in the amount of GNR produced and the characteristics when different radical polymerization initiators are used with the aim of increasing the functionality of GNR.
