In the low temperature range of the nematic phase of achiral liquid crystal molecules, the NTB structure, in which the aggregate takes the form of a helix, may appear. In this study, we measured the thermal diffusivities of the dimeric liquid crystal DTC5C7 mixed with the monomeric MCT5 by the TWA method in the temperature range from the liquid phase to the crystalline phase. the thermal diffusivity in the NTB phase was higher than that in the liquid phase, and the value was about halfway between the nematic phase and the crystalline phase. At the same time, the morphology was observed by polarized light microscopy.
