[26p-E204-2] Development of application of mid-infrared passive spectroscopic imaging to medical image diagnosis (2nd. report)
-Detection of spectral emitted intensity derived from teeth’s hydroxyapatite-
Keywords:mid-infrared passive spectroscopic imaging, medical image diagnosis
We aim to apply the hardness estimation by spectral emitted intensity of teeth to dental medical examination. Therefore, we measured microplastics to verify the usability of mid-infrared passive spectroscopic imaging. As a result of measuring the spectral absorbance and the spectral emitted intensity of polypropylene, we confirmed the absorption and emission peaks at the same wavenumber. Next, we measured the spectral emission intensity of cow’s tooth that simulated human teeth. As a result, we succeeded in detecting an emission peak (8.7 µm) derived from hydroxyapatite, what is the main component of the tooth.
