[15p-A205-4] Application of three-dimensional graphene to rechargeable devices

Hirotomo Nishihara1 (1.Tohoku Univ.)

Keywords:graphene mesosponge, electric double-layer capacitors, fuel cells

Most commercial graphene powder” products are actually “thin graphite” and do not have the intrinsic properties of single-layer graphene. To overcome this problem, we have developed a new class of material, graphene mesosponge (GMS), which is mesoporous material and comprises mainly single-layer graphene walls. GMS is the first mass-producible powder material with the unique properties of single-layer graphene. This talk will illustrate the major features of GMS and its applications for rechargeable devices.
