2D/3D perovskite heterostructure solar cells with orientation controlled 2D perovskite were characterized. Horizontally oriented 2D perovskites inhibited charge transport in the solar cells, resulting in a decrease in power conversion efficiency, while obliquely oriented 2D perovskites realized efficient charge transport and suppressed the decrease in power conversion efficiency. This indicates that orientation control of 2D perovskite is effective in realizing high conversion efficiency and improving the stability of the solar cell.
