[15p-A402-5] How the superconducting technology can contribute to the innovative GX?: the achievement to now and future outlook

Noriko Chikumoto1 (1.Chubu Univ.)

Keywords:superconductor, carbon neutral, green transformation

Superconductivity, which has zero resistance, does not generate Joule heat, so it can be said to be the ultimate energy-saving material. Thirty-six years have passed since the discovery of high-temperature superconducting materials, and while the technology is maturing, power applications such as power transmission and energy storage has begun to be put into practical use around the world. In addition to power applications, sensors that use quantum phenomena are also active in resource development. The current status and future of various superconducting application technologies that are expected to play an active role will be presented in the talk.
