Here, we report the proof of concept results for light-sheet Brillouin scattering microscopy, which enables cross-sectional imaging of cell elasticity. Light-sheet Brillouin scattering microscopy is based on dispersive coherent Brillouin scattering spectroscopy, which allows a single-frame readout of time-domain Brillouin oscillations in the frequency domain, combined with an spatial multiplexing optical system.
