[15p-A502-15] Optimization of Coupling Efficiency of Narrow Linewidth Hybrid Wavelength Tunable Laser with Self-Injection Locking

Keywords:laser, self-injection, linewidth

Narrow linewidth lasers are required for digital coherent communication and FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) method, which is a high-precision sensing technique. We have developed a narrow linewidth laser by connecting a fiber Fabry-Perot resonator to a hybrid wavelength tunable laser, which induces a self-injection locking effect. By optimizing a coupling efficiency using the tunable reflectivity mirror, we achieved a linewidth of less than 10 kHz.
