Various applications of circularly polarized light elements have been proposed, such as quantum cryptographic communications and in vivo 3D imaging. On the other hand, current-driven single circularly polarized light elements have not yet been put to practical use due to operational stability and other factors. In this study, we report the design and feasibility of a nanopillar-type metasurface structure that can realize circular polarization for various InGaN light-emitting device structures, regardless of the linear polarization of the light source and the emission angle of the light.
