▲ [15p-D704-5] Carbon-induced enhancement of anomalous Hall and negative anisotropic magnetoresistance effects in ferromagnetic thin films
Keywords:light elements, anomalous Hall effect, anisotropic magnetoresistance
Current-induced magnetization switching (CIMS) without external magnetic fireld is essencial for higher recording density of spin-orbit torque based magnetic random access memories. Recently, spin-anomalous Hall effect (AHE) demonstrated the CIMS without external magnetic fields, and enhancement of AHE has been of importance for the efficient CIMS. In this study, it was revealed that one of the 2p light elements of carbon (C) was responsible for the enhanced AHE in an ordinary FM, which can be attributed to the p-d orbital hybridiation between C and metals. Increase in the saturation magnetization and negative anisotropic magnetoresistance (AMR) will be shown at the conference.
