[15p-D704-6] Determination of magnetic exchange stiffness by measuring magnetic domain wall width
Keywords:magnetic domain, magnetic domain wall, exchange stiffness
Magnetic exchange stiffness A is a parameter that describes magnetic exchange coupling and is particularly essential in Micromagnetics calculations, but its experimental measurement is limited to a limited range of materials and temperatures. In this study, we developed a method for evaluating A from the width δ of the magnetic wall introduced into the TEM sample. With this method, it is easy to measure δ from cryogenic temperature to just below the Curie temperature, and the derived A showed good agreement with the known values. We demonstrated this method using Fe and Ni as examples.
