Polymer solar cells have been studied extensively due to their features such as low production cost, large-area capability and flexibility. Recently, ternary solar cells have attracted attention due to their high power conversion efficiency. Ternary inverse structure polymer solar cells based on the polymer PTzBT have attracted attention because they exhibit high conversion efficiency and high durability by adding non-fullerene acceptor ITICs to the active layer. However, the details of the charge accumulation state in PTzBT polymer solar cells remain unresolved . In this study, operando electron spin resonance (ESR) was applied to an organic electrochemical transistor structure using PTzBTs as the active layer, and the charge accumulation state in the device was studied from a microscopic viewpoint and is reported.
