[16a-PA06-7] Raman scattering signal measurements of CO2 for development of marine water lidar
Keywords:Raman scattering, Lidar
With global warming, large-scale reduction of greenhouse gases such as CCS(Carbon Capture and Storage) is needed. However the impact assessment on the underwater environment is not fully understood. In this study, basic experiments using CO2 gas dissolved in pure water were conducted for the purpose of developing the Raman lidar. Although CO2 Raman signals can be obtained from previous studies, it is necessary to improve the sensitivity by an order of magnitude for CO2 measurements in seawater. In this report, we describe the light source power dependence of the Raman signal intensity when CO2 gas is dissolved in pure water.
