We have developed ab initio, semiclassical, and temperature modeling programs coupled with Maxwell's equations to understand laser processing theoretically. By using these programs, physical quantities that correlate with the damage threshold were clarified. By developing programs for various levels of the hierarchy, it has become possible to use each program complementary to optimize and validate the models.
