In this talk, the latest trends in hardware technology of quantum computers and quantum annealing machines will be discussed. In addition, I will talk about possible killer applications of quantum computers and quantum annealing machines for condensed matter physics and quantum chemistry, and the usefulness and limitations of quantum hardware for such applications.
