[17a-A404-3] Development of Near-infrared Luminescent Organic Materials for Liquid Scintillators
Keywords:near-infrared, organic dye, polymer
Near-infrared scintillators are useful for measuring radiation dose from samples containing contaminants, because near-infrared light has excellent material permeability. In organic materials, it is generally carried out by modifying substituents or introducing elements based on an extended π-conjugated system, but the molecules inevitably become large and show poor solubility. Here, we established an epoch-making design guideline to realize a narrow gap structure by lowering only the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital without extending the conjugated system. In this talk, I will explain the new molecular design guideline and the obtained new materials.
