[17a-A404-4] Study of Radiation Detectors Using Gas as Detection Medium
Keywords:Gaseous detector, Radiation imaging, Radiation detector
We have been developing a radiation imaging technique by combining the measurement method using the ionization effect of gas and the excitation (fluorescence) effect of gas. This gas-based radiation imaging technique is being developed as a dosimeter for radiation therapy to measure the dose distribution of heavy particle beams, proton beams, X-rays, and other radiation sources with high LET and dose rate. In addition, taking advantage of the low density characteristic of gas, we will introduce the development of a neutron detector with low gamma-ray sensitivity and a detector for dark matter search.
