Conjugate extension is one of the effective methods for designing high-mobility organic semiconductor materials. However, when the molecular size becomes too large, solubility decreases and crystallization becomes difficult. In this study, single crystals of aromatic molecules with a five-membered ring structure were obtained by a crystallization method using naphthalene, which dissolves conjugated molecules well, as a solvent. We report on the crystal structure analysis, various physical properties measurements, theoretical calculations, and FET properties of the obtained crystals.
