In this study, a new readout electronic utilizing a microcontroller was developed to monitor the rate of resistance change of multiple cantilever-based biosensors in parallel. This new system was compared with the conventional readout system that utilizes a digital multimeter (DMM). The standard deviations of the DMM and the newly developed system were 2.91 ppm and 3.21 ppm, respectively. By using a multiplexer, multiple cantilevers can be monitored in parallel. The operation of the system was demonstrated with two cantilevers, and it was confirmed that the measurements could be performed independently.
