[17a-PA03-19] Design of the Photonic Crystal Structure with a Liquid Crystal in the Millimeter-Wave Region

Ultra-fine processing technology is required for fabrication of photonic crystals in the visible light region. However, in the millimeter wave region where the wavelength is on the order of millimeters, it is possible to achieve a fine periodic structure relatively easily. In this study, we attempted to analyze by finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method and fabricate a millimeter-wave band photonic crystal design, assuming addition of liquid crystal to a two-dimensional photonic crystal.
