Gas separation membrane is one of the applications of polymeric nanocomposite. It is expected that separation characteristics of the matrix are improved when nanoparticles are filled into the matrix. However, gas separation capacity significantly reduces because of the interfacial defects by interactions between matrix and nanoparticle. In this study, we developed core-shell type nanoparticles with high compatibility with the employed matrix. Moreover, we fabricated a gas separation membrane with less interfacial defects by filling them into the matrix.
