Perovskite quantum dots (PeQDs) show PL-spectrum adjustability upon mixing halide anions. However, Br and I mixed-type PeQDs often exhibit low photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) in the wavelength range of 585~610 nm due to numerous structural defects arising from the ratio of halogen compositions. In this study, we have successfully synthesized PeQDs with high PLQY through band gap engineering that combines both halogen composition control and quantum size effects.
