Superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors are widely used in research and development for the quantum communication system due to those superior photon detection performances and easy handling of the system. In this talk, we introduce recent trends in research and development on the application of SNSPDs to quantum information processing, focusing on photon-number resolving SNSPDs and the integration with ion-traps and Si waveguides.
