Revealing the detail of the primary process at the material's surface during the irradiation of ultra-short pulse laser is of great importance to solve the problems of precision and efficiency. However, using the previous observing method of side view, it is hard to observe the phenomenon shorter than several hundred picoseconds after the laser irradiation. In this study, we used a combination of time-resolved measurement and a Michelson interferometer to observe the deformation process after the irradiation of ultra-short pulse laser in a temporal scale of picosecond and a spatial scale of nanometer.
