Our previously developed air plasma device, selectively generating dinitrogen pentoxide (N2O5) enables agricultural applications of plasma generated N2O5 We focused on experimental evaluation of artificial nitrogen fixation efficacy of plasma generated N2O5, a precursor of nitric acid, throughout experiments comparing the growth of Lotus japonicus, a model legume, supplying plasma generated N2O5 with symbiotic nitrogen fixation by inoculating rhizobia and mineral nitrogen fertilizer (KNO3).
