Novel inorganic-organic hybrid nanosheet was found in the precursor for synthesizing Fe3O4 nanocrystal. This nanosheet was prepared by solvothermal technique. The chemical composition is determined as [Fe7(C2H4O2)9]nOy. Although its crystal structure has not been clarified, yet, some experimental data implies the hybridization state of inorganic oxide matrix in the framework of organic molecules. The magnetism shows antiferromagnetic behaviour with low dimensional character. These characteristics are quite interesting, since it is not common for generally known iron oxides.
