[17p-E402-9] Rechargeable cyborg insects using ultrathin organic solar cells
Keywords:Organic solar cells, Flexible, Cyborg insects
Cyborg insects, which use living insects controlled by electrical stimulation, are expected to be useful for applications such as urban search and rescue. To achieve wireless control of cyborg insect locomotion for long term, the integration of energy harvesters that can generate more than 10 mW is required. The weight and area of power generation devices impairs the motion ability of insects. In this study, we used ultra-thin organic solar cells to realize a cyborg insect capable of recharging and wireless communication without impairing the insect's basic motion abilities.
