[17p-E502-7] Development of biointerface for biosensing in the age of coping with COVID-19

Keywords:bioreceptors, biointerfaces, virus detection

Although diagnostic technologies such as PCR tests and antigen tests have been put into practical use against COVID-19, they are insufficient to prevent the spread of infection. Therefore, it is necessary to develop technology that allows people to unconsciously detect infection. From the viewpoint of biointerface science, we have investigated the detection of any virus that shows infectivity in humans by using relatively inexpensive artificial receptors such as sugar chains and nucleic acid aptamers that mimic part or all of the human cell membrane receptors originally recognized by viruses.
