[17p-PA09-58] Development of Er-doped Mg₄Ta₂O₉ Single Crystalline Scintillators

Near-infrared emitting scintillators have potential applications in high-dose field monitoring. In this study, Er-doped Mg₄Ta₂O₉ single crystals emitting at wavelengths with good transmission efficiency in fibre optics were prepared and their photoluminescence and scintillation properties were investigated. In the X-ray-induced scintillation spectra in the near-infrared region,, peaks originating from Er^{3+ 4}I_13/2→⁴I_15/2 transition were observed around 1000 nm and 1540 nm
