[18a-A405-7] Pulse-duration-dependence of novel metal alloying on Fe/Cr/Ni thin films by picosecond laser irradiation.

The possibility of applying picosecond laser irradiation to a novel metal alloying method was investigated. Iron/Chromium/Nickel thin films were evaporated on gallium nitride (GaN) and then the Iron/GaN interface was irradiated by picosecond laser beam. Energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy analysis was performed on the cross-section of the picosecond laser irradiated area with a scanning transmission electron microscope.
