▲ [18a-D704-4] Observation of superfluid-like spin transport in NiO
Keywords:spin current, antiferromagnet
Long-distance and low-dissipation spin transport is a crucial goal for spintronics where flow of spin angular momentum is considered as an information carrier. Spin waves, collective excitations of magnetization dynamics, have been widely investigated as they can carry spin angular momenta. On the other hand, it has been theoretically predicted that when magnetization dynamics is confined in a two dimensional space and undergoes a rotational symmetry, spin angular momenta can be transported in a low dissipative mode, which is the so-called spin superfluidity. In this study, we investigated the spin transport in a magnetic easy-plane of an antiferromagnetic NiO thin film where magnetization dynamics is confined while satisfying the requirements for spin superfluidity.
