▲ [18p-A202-4] Visible-Photoluminescent Silicon Quantum Dots via a Novel and Facile Mechanochemical Reaction of Hydrogen Silsesquioxane
Keywords:silicon quantum dots, mechanochemical, visible photoluminescence
Hydrogen silsesquioxane has been utilized as popular precursor for the synthesis of silicon nanoparticles through conventional thermal pyrolysis process, during where the requirement of high-temperature (>1000 °C) and continuous hydrogen supplying are the main drawbacks. Here, silicon quantum dots were successfully prepared via mechanochemical processing of hydrogen silsesquioxane under room temperature with zero hydrogen supply. The in-situ produced hydrogen gas works as inert atmosphere and promotes the generation of silicon radicals as well as silicon quantum dots. The novel and facile developed in present study opens a brand-new strategy for the synthesis of functional nanomaterials.
