[CS12-29] CHARACTERISTICS OF SURFACE GROUND EXCITATION ASSOCIATED WITH THE DAMAGE OF TELECOMMUNICATION PIPELINES CONNECTED TO A BRIDGE IN THE 2016 KUMAMOTO EARTHQUAKE
Keywords:the 2016 Kumamoto earthquake, telecommunication pipelines connected to a bridge, damage of earthquake, effective stress analysis, damage of Liquefaction
The 2016 Kumamoto earthquake caused severe damage to the telecommunication pipelines in bridge section. In this study, we performed one-dimensional effective stress analyses for surface grounds in which the telecommunication bridge facilities are located in Mashiki Town, Kumamoto. For the seismic response analyses, we modeled the ground of the subject points. By using the results from the analyses, we considered the relation between the damage of telecommunication pipelines in bridge section and the indexes which showed the characteristics of the ground shaking, the degree of the strength of the ground motion and the liquefaction.
