[CS2-03] Back Analysis of Shield Tunnel Segment Internal Force During Construction Stages in Ho Chi Minh City Metro Line 1 Project

Ho Chi Minh City Metro Line 1 is featuring twin shield tunnels construction in a loose soil layer. To verify design on the tunnel, sensor consists of rebar strain gage, earth pressure cell and piezometer were installed in the tunnel segment. Observation was made during the five stages of shield tunnel construction: just after segment erection, at seal touching and grease injection, at back grouting time, after back grouting, and at stable stage. Results show that the section forces during the construction are similar or smaller than design value. Thus, design of segment lining was verified.
