[I-136] Energy release rate of CFRP bonded steel member considering with effect of matrix resin
Keywords:CFRP, energy release rate, shearing deformation, matrix resin
Recently, repair method using bonding CFRP has begun to be applied to actual deteriorated steel members. In the guidelines for repair and strengthening of structures using externally bonded FRP, it is specified that an energy release rate, ERR, in adhesive can be applied for the verification of debonding of CFRP. In this paper, the authors compered ERR of simplified equation and ERR of approximate solution considering the effect of matrix resin. As the result, they were perfectly same under axial loading, whole they were almost same in the case of CFRP bonded steel member under pure bending.
