Between the Itabashi and Kumanomachi junctions of the Tokyo Metropolitan Expressway Central Loop Line, 3-lane to 4-lane widening work was carried out with the aim of enhancing the traffic function. In addition, for increased dead load and live load caused by widening,the foundation structure has been improved. The anchor bolt sould be improved but it was embedded in the footing concrete of the existing steel bridge at the endge of the scope of work, In this paper, we report the outline of the reinforcement effect of the thickening footing on upper surface for anchor parts of the existing steel bridge by using FEM analysis.
