[III-119] Study on repair and reinforcement for pile foundation using jet grouting

This paper describes a repair and reinforcement method for a pile (normal/damaged) foundation. The effectiveness of repair and reinforcement was examined by a static axial compressive load test or lateral load test of the pile which was repair and reinforced using jet grouting. Result from the static axial compressive load test for the damaged pile proved that it has a performance not less than the allowable bearing capacity in the initial design. On the other hand, results from the lateral load test for the existing pile proved that it has approximately 2times lateral resistance than the normal pile without soil improvement columns.
