[VII-161] Evaluation of geological condition around the disposal drift using data while tunneling

The Nuclear Waste Management Organization of Japan (NUMO) shows that the hydraulic and mechanical characteristics will be considered to fix the emplacement area. Such characteristics will be acquired from mechanical and permeability tests when disposal drift will be excavated, that the total length will be more than hundred kilometers. The authors have developed a technique to predict geological conditions around the tunnel based on the rock bolt drilling data, and this technique can be applied to the evaluation of geological condition around disposal drifts. An efficient investigation method is considered in this paper.
